the clutch relese bearing has gone on my zx, sounds like im draging a pig along whenever change gear. the clutch it now biting right on the floor, if i adjust the clutch up to get more travel how long do you rekon i can get away without changeing the bearing. will it just give up totally?? any ideas and sugestions much appreciated.Clutch relese bearing ???

it will fail soon...as the bearing is no longer spinning with the clutch,it is wearing away the preasure plate...i advise u not to drive it and get it fixed asap as it will fail complitly and could damage the box...a full clutch kit will be needed...Clutch relese bearing ???
You will have to replace the whole clutch assembly. It will not last long. The fingers on the pressure plate will overheat %26amp; either bend or break. If this occurs, then the clutch will not disengage. You may crash the vehicle. Replace the assembly ASAP.

It will give up totally and you'll be a roadside pick up.
Bite the bullet and go and get it fixed - but don't expect them to replace just the bearing - it'll be the whole clutch.
They won't replace the bearing alone because sod's law dictates that they'll do that and you'll be back and moaning that the clutch has gone - all or nothing.

New Clutch, Pressure plate and bearing are required, if left, you will also have to replace the Flywheel!Clutch relese bearing ???
A. is it a cable clutch or hydraulic?
B.it sounds like it's pretty well knackered anyway.
C. the useful life of this clutch is over with if the release bearing has gone there is no adjustment to bodge the bearing you need a new one sorry!
