Motor Cycle clutch lock nut?

I have a 79 Honda CX 500 D. I am changing the clutch. How do I remove lock nut? The entire assembly spins when I try to remove the nut. The parts store tells me to try and remove it before I by the actual tool, since it is $35, try and save some money because I'll not use it again.

Any thoughts on what I can do? Below is an expanded picture of the clutch.

Go to - your bike - Clutch

Bend the tang of lock washer 14

Put the transmission in gear and get someone to stand on the rear brake pedal (to lock the rear wheel).

Either tap the nut off with a hammer and punch, or use the proper tool.
