Why do people drive stick shift without using clutch?

I think it's stupid. Aside from posibly grinding the gears and messing up the engine, I think there's no point to it. If people don't want to use the clutch, why not get an automatic car. If they are worried about wearing out the clutch then they don't know how to properly drive the car. I've been drivin my car for five years without changing the clutch. There's a reason the clutch is there. By the way I am asking this question cause I seen some people do it. My friend was driving my car without the clutch and I was worried about him messin up my car. Then how would I get to work. Anyway, do u drive without the clutch? Why do people drive stick shift without using clutch?

i tried it once and a loud *** grind happend and my car burned on that was 2nd to 3rd i think its kinda dumb and it messes up syncrones or synchronizes wat ever the hell the gold things are called on the gear box that allow the gears to shiftWhy do people drive stick shift without using clutch?
people do and its very stupid of them the clutch separates the engine from the gearbox while the selector finds the position and locks it in, not using the clutch just makes it metal grind right across thus resulting in a knackered gearboxWhy do people drive stick shift without using clutch?
I learned to do it so I could if my clutch went out. A friend of mine did it when he broke his left leg. Other than that, can't imagine why.Why do people drive stick shift without using clutch?
race car drivers don't use the clutch either. Why do people drive stick shift without using clutch?
You only need the clutch in first gear to get moving. As long as you get the timing right and both gears that are engaging are running at the same speed you do no harm what so ever by not using the clutch. The only gears I skip using the clutch some times is 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 sometimes. I've never once ground the gears doing this. (Ive only ground the gears 3 times in my car and that's when I was using the clutch and just didn't have it all the way in gear) I would never try doing it in a car I'm not familiar with. I only do it like once a month too and not that often. Most of the time I do it is because I'm driving with my knee and you can't push in the clutch if your driving with your knee. I have 120,000 miles on my original clutch. 99 Ford Mustang GT. Its not stupid or smart if you know what your doing and don't grind the gears. Is more like a personal preference thing.
