Manuel car, powershifting?

i just wondering how to power shift in a manuel car, i guess the way i do it is called granny shifting

let off gas, clutch, change gear, little gas, no clutch

but if you ask me it doesn't seem that slowManuel car, powershifting?
HI

what you are describing is not power shifting.... its syncro shifting. when you use NO clutch at all. and yes it is slow.. pull on shifter a little, let off gas shifter well come out of gear. while the motor is idling down you should be able to pull it into the next gear and so forth.

POWER SHIFTING.

Is you plant the gas pedal on the floor and leave it there and you stomp the clutch (on and off as fast as you can) as you are pulling/push the shifter into the next gear. Yes it is hard on transmissions and clutches but that's racing. One bad thing is if you miss a shift be ready to lift off the gas right a way or you'll blow a motor.

good luck

If done correctly, it isn't %26quot;that slow%26quot; and your tranny and clutch will last a heck of a lot longer.Manuel car, powershifting?
That is for quarter mile racing. Floor the gas when it in first, keep it floored and quickly press clutch and shift letting go of the clutch as soon as you are in the next gear. It is really bad for the car though.Manuel car, powershifting?
always use the clutch unless you want to be driving the equivelent to a model %26quot;t%26quot; fordManuel car, powershifting?
true power shifting is you plant the throttle on the floor and keep it there while you %26quot;kick%26quot; the clutch and slam it into the next gear.. you only move the clutch enough were it will let the shifter slid out and into the next gear once you got that figured out you put a block of wood behind the clutch so it can only travel as far as it needs to go to disengage the clutchManuel car, powershifting?
Power shifting is simply shifting at close to red line without taking the foot off the gas.

%26quot;Power Shifting%26quot; isn't worth the massive amount of damage you'll eventually do to the car.

I call granny shifting really fast %26quot;street shifting%26quot; and It doesn't slow me down one bit. I used to drag race a lot, power shifting eventually made me shatter a driveshaft, rip an engine mount out, and break a timing chain all at the same time. It sucked.

If you really want to power shift just keep your right foot down and quickly grab that next gear. The slower your car, the smaller the chance of breaking something.Manuel car, powershifting?
Holding the pedal to the metal, [GAS} when you reach the desired shift point, hit the clutch and snatch to the next gear and off the clutch, pedal still to the metal.
