Does The Clutch DIsc Need To Be Fully Stopped To Change Gears?

Does the clutch disc need to be fully stopped, or just rotating under a certain speed to change gears? Also, how does a clutch disc stop so abruptly? Thanks in advance for the help.Does The Clutch DIsc Need To Be Fully Stopped To Change Gears?
The clutch doesnt particularly %26quot;stop%26quot; it disengages the engine drive from the gearbox and transmission.

Yes it does help to depress the clutch as this allows the synchro cones in the gearbox to match the speed of the gears so that they %26quot;mesh%26quot; without grinding.

Its doesn't really matter how far you press the clutch pedal,a short distance disengages the drive as much as a long press.

Actually,it is possible to change all gears up and down without the use of the clutch at all.In fact this was common in early motor vehicles.

There is however an amount of skill involved matching the engine speed to the required gear.Does The Clutch DIsc Need To Be Fully Stopped To Change Gears?
no, it doesn't

you can shift gears in a moving vehicle without using the clutchDoes The Clutch DIsc Need To Be Fully Stopped To Change Gears?
No the clutch disengages and this releases the engine from the transmission. with the transmission disengaged from the engine it also releases the force on the collar, dog teeth, and the gears inside your transmission allowing you to pull it form one gear to another.Does The Clutch DIsc Need To Be Fully Stopped To Change Gears?
the clutch pressure plate as to open away from the clutch drive plate to change gear smoothly, the clutch doesn`t stop spinning, it is the pressure plate that lets clutch run free, they are attached to the fly wheel, and open when clutch pedal pressed in.
